We run every client on software we wrote: the site renderer, the SEO and answer-engine tracking, the CRM, the client portal. You would own real surfaces of it, ship to production in your first week, and see the effect on an actual client the same month.
What you would be doing
- Ship features across the stack, Next.js App Router and TypeScript on the front, Supabase and Postgres with row-level security behind it
- Own a surface end to end: the client portal, the multi-tenant site renderer, or the ranking and citation pipeline
- Write the migrations, the RLS policies and the tests, not just the components
- Work directly with the people using it, because the team running the accounts sits in the same room
What we need
- Three or more years shipping production TypeScript, with real ownership of something users depended on
- Comfort in a database: schema design, indexes, and why a query got slow
- A high bar for the details, because the thing you build is what a client sees
Nice to have
- Next.js App Router and React Server Components in anger
- Multi-tenant systems, or anything with hard data-isolation rules
- Having worked somewhere small enough that you talked to customers
Be honest with yourself
You will not enjoy this if you want a narrow, well-specified ticket queue. The work is broad and you will often be the one deciding what the right thing is.
