The menu

Built around your paint, not a wash tunnel

Every package starts with a measured inspection so you only pay for the correction your car actually needs.

The Lumen finish

GLASS-FLAT

A cured ceramic layer reads like liquid glass. Light sits on the panel instead of scattering across it. That is the finish we hand back.

Why Lumen

We treat one car at a time, like it is the only one

Lumen started in a single-bay garage off Dundas West in 2015. We never scaled into a volume shop because the work that matters, real paint correction and a proper coating, cannot be rushed through a line.

Your car sits in a sealed, filtered bay under consistent lighting from the moment it arrives. The same technician who inspects it does the polishing and the coating. You get photos at each stage and a straight answer if a package is more than your car needs.

Ceramic coating warranty

How it runs

A clear process, start to keys back

Intake and inspection

We meter paint depth panel by panel under LED light and photograph every defect before a pad touches the car.

Decontaminate

Iron fallout, tar, and bonded grit are chemically and mechanically pulled from the clear coat.

Correct and coat

Machine polishing removes the defects, then the coating cures in our dust-controlled bay.

Final light check

You get the walkaround under the same lights we started with, plus a care sheet for the drive home.

What Toronto drivers say

4.9 / 5 · 480+ reviews

Dropped my black M4 off dreading the swirl marks from the automatic washes. Picked it up looking better than the showroom. The ceramic still beads after eight months of Leslieville street parking.

Marcus D.

Booked the interior reset after two kids and a golden retriever destroyed the back seats. Zero pet hair, no more juice stains, and it did not smell like fake vanilla. Honest work.

Priya S.

These are the only people I trust with the Tesla. They use a proper two-bucket wash and named the exact products. The paint correction pulled out scratches I assumed were permanent.

Jonathan R.

Found them off a Liberty Village neighbour's recommendation. Quote came back same day, no upsell games. The wheels and calipers look brand new and they stayed clean way longer than expected.

Elena K.

Winter salt was eating my Wrangler. The coating they laid down means the grime hoses right off now. Communication over text was quick and they finished exactly when they said.

David C.

The headlight restoration alone changed my night drives home to Scarborough. Cheaper than new housings and it actually held up through the summer.

Amara O.

I detail hobby cars myself so I am picky. Their prep before coating was more thorough than shops charging double downtown. Watched them tape and inspect for an hour before polishing.

Tomasz W.

Sold my lease-return here first. The car passed inspection with zero charges. Paid for itself twice over. Clean bay, no shortcuts, straight answers.

Rachel M.

Booked a maintenance wash and they caught curb rash I had not noticed and pointed me to a real fix instead of selling me something. That is why I keep coming back monthly.

Kevin L.

Parking in a King West lot means bird droppings and dust constantly. The coating makes weekly cleanup a five-minute wipe. Worth every dollar for a daily driver.

Sofia B.

Restored a matte-wrapped GTI without damaging the finish, which most shops refused to even touch. They clearly know the difference between wraps and paint.

Andre P.

The before and after photos they text you are not marketing fluff, that is genuinely what the car looks like. Interior on my minivan went from wrecked to rental-new.

Nadia H.

Corrected a decade of swirls on my dad's old Mustang as a surprise. He nearly cried. The team was patient with all my questions and never rushed the job.

Chris V.

Fair pricing for the level of detail. They kept the car an extra half day to let the coating cure properly rather than hand it back early. I respect that they refused to cut it short.

Yuki T.

Easy to find near the Junction, clean waiting area, and they walked me around the finished car under their inspection lights. No surprises on the final bill.

Bianca F.

I have used three detailers in the city. Lumen is the only one where the result held up past a month. The maintenance plan keeps my lease looking spotless for the return.

Questions drivers ask before they book

A full correction and coating is a one to two day job because the paint has to be measured, polished, and then left to cure in a controlled bay. We give you the finish date up front and text you when it is ready, so plan to drop the car rather than wait.

Yes. The whole reason we coat is the salt and slush off roads like the Gardiner. A cured ceramic layer stops brine from bonding to the clear coat, so winter grime rinses off with a maintenance wash instead of etching the paint.

That is most of what paint correction is. We cut back the swirls, wash marks, and holograms left by tunnels and brushes under controlled light until the panel reads flat, then seal it so it stays that way.

We do. Wraps and matte paint need different chemistry and no polishing, so we adjust the whole process. Tell us the finish when you request a quote and we will confirm the right care before you book.

Packages start at $89 for a maintenance wash, $249 for a full interior reset, $549 for paint correction, and $899 for a multi-year ceramic coating. Because every car arrives in a different state, we quote the exact price after we read the paint.
