Dinner, held in low light and slow time.
Live-fire cooking, a short seasonal menu and a dining room built for conversation. Thirty eight seats, one kitchen, every night.
A dark room built to slow the night down.
Emberline opened on King West with one idea, that a great meal deserves a room that gets out of its way. Espresso walls, brass fixtures, candlelight over every table. The open kitchen runs on live fire, so the smell of the room changes with the menu.
We seat thirty eight guests a night across the dining room and the bar. No rush between courses, no music loud enough to interrupt the table beside you.

“The lamb was the best thing I have eaten in Toronto this year. The room is dark and warm and every table felt private.”
Questions we hear most often.
Do you take walk ins or is it reservation only?
We hold a handful of bar seats for walk in guests each night, first come first served. For a table in the dining room we recommend reserving ahead, especially Thursday through Saturday.
Is there a dress code?
There is no strict dress code. Most guests arrive smart casual. The room is dim and candlelit, so wear whatever makes a long, unhurried dinner feel right.
Can you cook around allergies and dietary needs?
Yes. The menu changes with the seasons and the kitchen adapts most dishes for vegetarian, gluten and common allergy needs. Add a note to your reservation and we will plan ahead.
Is the seven course tasting menu available every night?
The tasting menu runs Tuesday through Saturday and is served to the full table. It takes around two and a half hours, so plan for a relaxed evening rather than a quick bite.
Can you host a large group or a private event?
Parties of seven or more are best booked by phone so we can seat you well. For a full buyout of the room or the bar, email us and we will build a menu with the kitchen.
Where can we park near King West?
There is metered street parking along King and a Green P lot one block south on Peter Street. The King streetcar stops steps from the door if you would rather leave the car at home.
